Taylor Home Safe

We drove Taylor to the airport Wednesday afternoon. Forecast called for rain. Fortunately, it held off until his plane was in the air. We drove home in VERY HEAVY rain at times. Arne and I compared comments and actions of our delightful ADHD grandson. I had looked up ADHD and he definitely has many, if not most, of the characteristics...always talking, always moving, reminding me he's almost 16, but acting much younger...and that he's "a professional" in whatever...golf, driving, pickleball. I sit on a big ball while on my computer. While Taylor was here, that ball was all over the house, with Taylor rolling on it.

We both have a lot more sympathy for Lisa as this was our first time with just Taylor. I heard "Grandma" at least 50 times. And the questions!! He says he asks questions so he can learn things. OK. But some of the questions...How long does it take a man to get ready? (He thought I took entirely too long getting ready, especially when he was waiting for me to go with him so he could drive the golf cart.) Grandpa, is that a toupée? He gave us many laughs also with his wonderful sense of humor.

Lisa is planning to come out in October so we will see Taylor again then. At least, we can share the load. :-) Tomorrow night the girls come. Kadin is ADD but that's not so bad, since half our family is ADD. The hyperactivity is the killer for old people! Taylor warned me that the girls will be waking us up at 5AM. I said they would not...hope I'm right!
