New and Old

Today we were blessed with another grandson. As Erik wrote to me, "He has arrived ... Jeffrey Erik ... 7 lb 13.5 oz ... 21in long ... This is what makes life so beautiful ... Giving life. We've already had our 1st father son talk & he listened so well. I'm definitely in love again."


That's the new...the old is Chubby Checker. Friends invited us to join them for the dinner show. It was fun, but lasted only an hour. Chubby didn't have too many hits. The Twist became popular in 1960, my freshman year in college. It resurfaced in 1962 and again became #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1988, "The Twist" became popular once again, due to a new recording of the song by The Fat Boys featuring Chubby Checker. Chubby was born Oct. 3,1941, sharing a birthday with our Moondog.
